Impact Missions Ministry
UPCOMING EVENT
We are going to be taking a group to do clean up on Saturday June 15th, 7am-noon. It is going to be a really hot day so we want to get out there early! We will meet at Trinity on the North side of the church. Steve Hinshaw will be leading this group. Please come prepared with work boots, gloves, and water. While we prefer to include children in all Impact activities this one is not safe for children under 11 or 12 years old. There will be opportunities for younger children to help serve on other dates.

The mission of the Impact/Missions team at Trinity is to bring a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ to non-believers and to disciple believers within our church body by sharing the gospel through love and service.
Our Impact/Missions Team is led by a group of mission minded believers and Pastor Scott Kinney. We desire to see lives changed thru mission projects locally and internationally.
Our ministry is divided into three key areas of focus:
Impact Body Life
Our mission is not limited to those that don’t know Jesus. It starts with discipleship of the church body, helping Christians grow while meeting their needs. In point of example, this ministry is realized by meeting real needs in our church body of believers such as providing financial and physical help to those in need. It has been said that a light is brightest at its origin. That means that if we want to shine the saving light of Christ in the world, it must shine brightest at home; and that's what we do with Body Life.
Impact Community
If a light is brightest at home, then it makes sense that the majority of our gospel outreach focus will be on our community. Community starts at the Yukon area, but includes greater Oklahoma City. We realize our outreach goals through Impact Community projects aimed at providing service to those in need in a way that allows us to share the gospel with them. As an example, we recently adopted Central Elementary School in Yukon as an ongoing mission project. On April 16, 2011 over 70 adults and kids invaded Central and painted the Cafeteria, the office entry hall, painted a mural for the children, and painted the playground area with bright colors for the children. We also did a make-over of the faculty bathrooms. Also in April 2011 we cooperated with the children’s ministry = to reach out to the residents of Ranchwood nursing home. More projects are planned and if you want to be part of the team, contact Scott Kinney at the church office.
Impact World
Trinity’s Impact Team has a rich, broad group of relationships with missions in Haiti, India, and South America. We support those missions by leading teams to those countries to work and serve, by helping raise money for their needs, and by connecting the missions with local resources from inside and outside of our church body.
